BACK LINE BREAKS.

At higher levels, attacking the back line is not about speed.

It is about control and timing.

THE DRIVE.

When you carry the ball with your hips facing goal,

the back line will drop.

They are protecting the space behind.

THE ADVANTAGE.

Every step forward improves your angle.

You get closer to goal.

You become more dangerous with every touch.

THE KEY MOMENT.

The back line cannot drop forever.

At some point, a defender must step.

That is when the line breaks.

THE GAP.

When a defender steps,

space opens behind them.

That is the moment to play the pass.

MOMENTUM.

When the defender steps,

their momentum goes forward.

They cannot recover in time.

They are out of the play.

FORCING THE STEP.

At higher levels, defenders delay.

You can create the moment.

Shift their momentum with small touches.

Then play the opposite way.

PRINCIPLE.

Drive at the line.

Wait for it to break.

Play the pass at the moment of the step.

That is how you create chances.
