BALL WILL FIND YOU.

This video is about recognizing when the run is more valuable than the pass.

A lot of attackers naturally want the ball to feet.

But when the ball breaks a line and the player on the ball is facing forward with control, the opportunity often exists behind the back line.

That's the moment to run.

The reason is simple.

Every run in behind forces a decision.

Now the defender has to deal with the ball and the runner at the same time.

Now attention is split.

Now space begins to appear.

The best attackers understand that movement creates problems before the ball is ever played.

Sometimes your job is not to come toward the ball.

Sometimes your job is to stretch the line and force defenders into impossible decisions.

Ball breaks a line.

Player facing forward.

Run in behind.

Force a decision.
